Videos can be useful for introducing seasonal vocabulary, particularly to children learning English, as a preferred activity on a choice board or simply as a quiet time to enjoy or share a story, in moderation. Some of you may remember this simple strip of paper with the green dot on the left to indicate ‘go’ and the red on the right to signal ‘stop’ (like a stop sign) from my previous post about reinforcing the left-to-right direction of print. I will try to leave more opportunities on the site to encourage independence and reinforcement of this as well. Feel free to print this post and cut the strips of photos above for reference at the computer. It is amazing what kids can do on computers at a young age.
